Formed in June 09, Here Come the Belgians is a non-elite anti-team celebrating all things cross, cobbled and Belgian.
Seeking a different experience to the traditional cycling club, its aim is to harness the energy of a vibrant internet cycling community with grass roots racing and riding based around Cyclocross and Spring Classics. There is no race programme in the style of a racing team, more a collection of individual experiences through rides and racing, in whatever location a member may be, that all can share in and contribute toward.

Ronde Van Oost Lancashire

Last Saturday Alan and I did a recce of part of the Ronde route in very typical Belgian / Lancastrian weather - it lashed it down.

The hills resembled something out of a film set with great cloud formations and water gushing down the sides of the valleys, the cobbles were tricky, tyre choice will be crucial (Al will give you a very detailed list of tyres and pressures required)and the potholes are abundent.

Regardless of the weather the route is fantastic and the day will be something to remember, so we hope many of you will venture out on the 3rd.

  1. Sorry guys, it looks as though I'm not going to make it on Saturday. Have a great ride though.
