Formed in June 09, Here Come the Belgians is a non-elite anti-team celebrating all things cross, cobbled and Belgian.
Seeking a different experience to the traditional cycling club, its aim is to harness the energy of a vibrant internet cycling community with grass roots racing and riding based around Cyclocross and Spring Classics. There is no race programme in the style of a racing team, more a collection of individual experiences through rides and racing, in whatever location a member may be, that all can share in and contribute toward.

Darren Holloway 1970-2012.

It is with sadness that I report the passing of Darren Holloway, fellow cyclist, fell runner and friend.

Darren was competing in the Ian Hodgson fell running relay on Sunday the 7th of October. After passing Hart Crag, and on the final climb to Fairfield, he collapsed.  He was pronounced dead on arrival at Barrow hospital.

I don't remember him ever posting on here, but he wrote lots that will interest on his own blog if you've not come across it before. http://laidbackfellrunner.blogspot.co.uk/
