Darren Holloway 1970-2012.
It is with sadness that I report the passing of Darren Holloway, fellow cyclist, fell runner and friend.
Darren was competing in the Ian Hodgson fell running relay on Sunday the 7th of October. After passing Hart Crag, and on the final climb to Fairfield, he collapsed. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Barrow hospital.
I don't remember him ever posting on here, but he wrote lots that will interest on his own blog if you've not come across it before. http://laidbackfellrunner.blogspot.co.uk/

ReplyDeleteIncredibly sad. Way too young (exactly the same age as me).
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link to the fundraising page Steve.
yes truly tragic, coming from the same fell running club as rich and darren ive been in many races with him, altho he was probably the best runner in the club,he was a very honest chap who treated everybody on the same level.
