Formed in June 09, Here Come the Belgians is a non-elite anti-team celebrating all things cross, cobbled and Belgian.
Seeking a different experience to the traditional cycling club, its aim is to harness the energy of a vibrant internet cycling community with grass roots racing and riding based around Cyclocross and Spring Classics. There is no race programme in the style of a racing team, more a collection of individual experiences through rides and racing, in whatever location a member may be, that all can share in and contribute toward.

Fresh Start

With the cross season still in full swing I'm already beginning to think of the road season. As the New Year starts many of us think of fresh starts. One of mine is a new regular write up of my return to racing.

Hope it's the start of a good new year for all of us.

  1. Hi Olly,
Got a friend who's looking for a regular ride in Sheffield - Are the C.L.Os still recruiting? If so, what time and where do you meet?

  3. Thanks Rich - that's the plan anyway...

Ripoph, we're always happy for new riders, although we don't take things too seriously. We usually meet at the corner of Ringinglow Road and Common Lane on the Ecclesall/Ringinglow side of Sheffield (S11) at 8am on Saturdays. For the last couple of weeks it's been 830 to avoid too much ice/darkness. It all gets arranged by email/facebook. Get your mate to drop me a line on owright@mac.com if they or anyone else are interested.
